DHAKA: Star Cineplex organized a special red-carpet premiere of British-American romantic fantasy film ‘Cinderella’ at its hall at Bashundhara City Shopping Mall in city’s Panthapath area Thursday evening.

The premiere featured red carpet reception, performance with costumes and characters from ‘Cinderella’, decorated and musical ambience with dancing ‘Cinderella’ and dummy gigantic shoe.

Directed by Kenneth Branagh, from a screenplay written by Chris Weitz, the movie stars Lily James in the title role as Ella with Richard Madden as Prince Charming, Cate Blanchett as Lady Tremaine, Sophie McShera as Drizella, Holliday Grainger as Anastasia and Helena Bonham Carter as The Fairy Godmother.

‘Cinderella’ had its world premiere on February 13 in the out of competition section of the 65th Berlin International Film Festival.

It will be screened at 11:00am, 1:45pm, 4:30pm and 7:15pm at Star Cineplex from Friday onwards.
