DHAKA: A two-day ‘Bangal Festival’ will kick off in Washington DC of USA on May 13 in 2017.

The Bangla Festival adhoc committee cultural and artist management chairman Mridul Rahman and Bangladesh representative of adhoc committee and its coordinator Saimon Zakaria made the announcement at a press conference at National Press Club in city on Friday (October 21).

Bangla Academy president Professor Emeritus Dr Anisuzzaman and its director general Dr. Shamsuzzaman Khan are serving as advisors of the upcoming festival.

Eminent singer Abdul Jabbar, performer Momena Chowdhury, film actors Sattar and Pirzada Shahidul Islam, among other, were present at the briefing.
