Tauquir’s ‘Oggatonama’ wins SAARC film festival award Photo collected

Bangladeshi film ‘Oggatonama’, written and directed by Tauquir Ahmed, achieved the best screenplay award in the SAARC Film Festival 2017.

Tauquir Ahmed was handed over the award on the concluding day of the SAARC Film Festival held in Sri Lanka's capital Colombo on Nov 25.

SAARC Film Festival and SAARC Culture centre Sri-Lanka's Senior Officer Mahinda Sundanaskara, jury board members, top diplomats from SAARC countries, directors and members of film industry were also present at the event. 

SAARC Film Festival was inaugurated on Nov 21. A total of 16 films from eight countries took part in the competition in different categories.

Aside from Tauquir's 'Oggatonama', another film 'Premi o Premi' directed by Zakir Hossain Raju were shown in the competition in the SAARC Film Festival from Bangladesh.
