DHAKA: Bollywood actor Salman Khan will have to spend another night in jail as well as the judgment on the actor's bail plea hearing has been reserved till Saturday (April 6).

The judge in the Jodhpur Sessions Court will pronounce the order on Saturday, reports The Economic Times.

Earlier, the actor's lawyers, in their defence, had claimed that eyewitness accounts were unreliable, and therefore the punishment to the actor is harsh. The lawyers had also cited acquittal in other cases in the 51-page bail plea submitted in court.

Meanwhile, Times Now earlier reported that his lawyer claimed to have received threat calls last night. He alleged that the calls were made from Dubai and Australia, and were purportedly done by the Ravi Pujari gang, asking him to leave the case.

Earlier, on Thursday (April 5), the court had sentenced the actor to a 5-year prison term in the 1998 blackbuck killing case. He was also slapped with a penalty of Rs 10,000. However, his co-stars from the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' - during the shoot of which the blackbucks killing took place - Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam walked free.
