‘I was like a daughter to him’, Nasrin remembers Dildar on death anniv Dildar and Nasrin

DHAKA: Popular comedian Dildar was ‘Comedy King’ of Dhallywood. This unmatched popular comedian passed away on July 13, 2003. This day marks his 15th death anniversary.

Many comedians came and gone after his death, no one has replaced Dildar yet. He came through the film "Keno Emon Hoy” in 1972.

In his long cinema career, co-artist Nasrin remembers Dildar with profound reverence and love. “In front of camera, we used to appear as lovers, but behind camera, we’re like father and daughter,” Nasrin said.

Nasrin first acted with Dildar in 1994. They appeared together in more than 300 films.

He (Dildar) used to adore me, take care of me like his daughter. If he was alive, he would come to see my children, and pray for them,” Nasrin said.

Dismissing the thought of love affair between them, she said, “We had nothing of this sort of thing. The third party used to spread rumors out of enmity.”

Dildar was born on January 13, 1945. He hailed from Chandpur district.
