DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given Tk 20 lakh donation for the treatment of ailing actor Afzal Sharif.

Sheikh Hasina handed over the cheque to popular comedian of Dhaka-based cinema at Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in city on Wednesday (September 19).

Afzal Sharif has been suffering from pains in his spinal cord, waist and bone for nearly 4 years. For this reason, he could not perform as an actor anymore. He had to receive therapy regularly.

Recently, Afzal Sharif sought assistance from the premier as he requires a large sum of money for his treatment expenditure.
