DHAKA:  The second Namaz-e-Janaza of Ekushey Padak-winning lyricist Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul has just held at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC).

The prayer was performed at 2:20 pm on Wednesday (January 23).

Earlier in the day, his first Namaz-e-Janaza held at Dhaka University Central Mosque after Johr prayers.

People from all walks of life paid their last respects to Ekushey Padak-winning lyricist Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul at Central Shaheed Minar.

Guard of honor was also given to the composer and music director Bulbul at Shaheed Minar premises. 

Bulbul will be laid to rest at the Martyred Intellectuals’ Graveyard in Mirpur.

Bulbul suffered a heart attack at his Aftabnagar residence around 4:00 am on Tuesday (Jan 22).

He was, then, taken to Ayesha Memorial Hospital in city’s Mohakhali area where doctors declared him dead around 5:30am on the same day.

He aged 63.
