DHAKA: West Bengal music sensation Anupam Roy has been mesmerizing Bangla song lovers with his unique singing style, powerful lyrics and soulful compositions over the years.
The singer-songwriter-poet with unparallel fanbase in both the Bengals lent voice to a song penned by Bangladeshi lyricist Omar Farook Bishal.
It has been first time that the engineer-turns-singer collaborated with a lyricist from Dhaka.
The song titled ‘Parchi to Khub’ was composed and tuned by Robin Islam.
The song was viewed as many as 73,000 times till Saturday (Jan 26) evening since its release on G Series’ YouTube channel Thursday (Jan 24).
Anupam Roy, Mehjabien and SN Jony are seen in the video.
The song is slated for Jewel Rana-directed drama ‘Moyurakhhi Tomay Dilam’.
