DHAKA: Eminent singer Subir Nandi was admitted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka after he had suffered cardiac problems Sunday (April 14) night.

He was kept at the Coronary Care Unit (CCU).

“His condition is critical. Physicians have kept him under intensive observation,” Subir Nandi’s daughter Falguni Nandi told Banglanews.  

The 66-year-old singer has been suffering from kidney problems for long. He underwent dialysis on regular basis. 

On Sunday, he suffered cardiac problems on way to Dhaka leaving Sylhet. He was taken to the CMH around 11pm.

The ‘Din Jaay Katha Thake’ singer served for more than four decades to the country’s music industry.

The veteran was awarded with prestigious Ekushey Padak this year.
