Film director Hasibul Islam Mizan’s janaza held at FDC The namaz-e-janaza at BFDC.

DHAKA: Film director Hasibul Islam Mizan’s second namaz-e-janaza was held at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) Friday (April 19) noon. 

Bangladesh Film Directors' Association President Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, General Secretary Badiul Alam Khokon, Organizing Secretary Kabirul Islam Rana, Shilpi Samity General Secretary actor Zayed Khan and actor Kayes Arzu, among others, took part in the funeral prayer.

The decaesed’s first namaz-e-janaza was held at Al Aksa Mosque in Banasree, at 10am.

He will be buried beside his wife’s grave at Mohammadpur Graveyard, following more two namaz-e-janaza.

Hasibul Islam Mizan died from bleeding on his brain, at 6pm Thursday (April 18), at the age of 62.

The ‘Amar Shopno Tumi’ famed director was born in Pirojpur in 1957.

He stepped into filmmaking through ‘Premer Kasam’.

2007 film ‘Tumi Acho Hridoye’ was his last released work.

Shakib Khan, Shabnur and Ferdous starring ‘Amar Shopno Tumi’, one of the highest-grossing films of 2005, brought Mizan fame.
