Health Minister Dr Samanta Lal Sen, instructed all hospitals to stock adequate antivenom in reaction to rumors regarding Russell's viper.

Alongside, Health Minister advised people not to get panicked of this snake. 

He said this while talking to health officials and doctors across the country during a virtual meeting on Saturday (June 22).

Dr Sen said, "I want to assure the people not to panic about Russell's viper. We have a sufficient supply of antivenom in our hospitals. I have given clear instructions that there must not be any shortage of antivenom under any circumstances."

He also discussed snake bites, specifically Russell's Viper, with various district civil surgeons and directors of medical college hospitals, and he inquired about the overall situation.

The health minister also said that the most important thing in case of snake bite is to rush the patient to the doctor quickly. If taken to the doctor immediately, it is possible to make the patient completely healthy with proper treatment.

Dr. Samant Lal Sen stressed on to create public awareness on snake bite.
