Seven dengue patients died and 596 were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the last 24 hours till this morning.

During the period, 228 Dengue patients were hospitalized in Dhaka city, while 368 were admitted to different hospitals outside the capital, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). 

This year, the total number of cases rose to 96,228 while 529 deaths from dengue disease were reported during the period, the statement added.

In the past 24 hours, 765 dengue patients were discharged from different hospitals. Among the total cases, 93,467 patients have already been released, the DGHS statement added.

Last year, the country recorded 1,705 dengue-related deaths and a total of 3,21,179 dengue cases.
