Ukraine says Russia launched a “massive missile” attack overnight on the city of Kryvyi Rih, killing at least six people and wounding 25.

Ukraine has shelled villages and damaged several houses in Russia’s Kursk region near the border with Ukraine, according to the regional governor.

Ukrainian military authorities say their air defence systems were engaged in the early hours of Tuesday to repel Russian air attacks in the Kyiv region.

“I thank our guys for every Ukrainian flag that is now returning to its rightful place,” says President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as Kyiv’s forces claim to have retaken seven villages in a counteroffensive against Russian troops.
