22,722 Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes since Oct 7 Relatives of Palestinians from the Dardasawi family, who were killed during an Israeli air strike that targeted their home in Khan Yunis, mourn in front of their wrapped bodies outside Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, 06 January 2024.

At least 122 Palestinians have been killed and 256 others injured over the past 24 hours in Gaza, its health ministry said in a statement on Saturday (January 6).

The latest deaths bring the total death toll in Gaza since October 7 to 22,722 Palestinians, with 58,166 others injured.

In recent weeks, Israel has been scaling back its military assault in the north of Gaza and pressing its heavy offensive in the south, vowing to crush Hamas.

In the south, most of Gaza’s 2.3 million Palestinians are being squeezed into smaller areas in a humanitarian disaster, while still being pounded by Israeli airstrikes.
