The repatriation of Afghan nationals from Pakistan continues, with the total number reaching 577,239 as of May 20, 2024.
The return process remains active, with recent figures indicating that between May 10 and May 20, 9,685 Afghans have crossed back into Afghanistan. This group included 3,421 men, 3,017 women, and 3,247 children.
287 families were transported in 352 vehicles during this ten-day period. The repatriation initiative aims to address the issue of illegal Afghan nationals in Pakistan, ensuring their safe and organized return to their home country.
Efforts to facilitate this process are ongoing, highlighting the commitment of both nations to manage the situation effectively.
