Hazare hospitalised, may undergo surgery

DHAKA: Social crusader Anna Hazare was admitted to a private hospital in the city on Monday after he complained of weakness, loss of appetite and problem in passing urine.

His lawyer Milind Pawar told media that Anna was rushed to Pune from Ralegan Siddhi, his hometown, after he complained of pain in the prostate gland.

‘The doctors have conducted tests and he is likely to undergo a prostate surgery on Tuesday,’ he said, The Times of India publishes this report on Tuesday.

A doctor at the hospital said that Hazare had come to hospital on Monday morning as he was feeling weak and also had urine obstruction.

‘We requested him to stay under medical supervision for 24 hours. We have carried out all medical tests. The reports will be available by tomorrow. The next course of action will be taken based on the reports,’ the doctor said.
