Makeup shades that are universally flattering

Bronze shadows are beautiful on all skin tones and eye colors. If you have brown eyes, a bronzed shadow will make your eyes appear more golden. If you have blue or green eyes, bronze is the opposite color of your eyes, and will really enhance their color and make them pop.

For fair skin: Use lighter, peachier shades of bronze like Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow.

For deeper skin tones: Choose richly pigmented shades of bronze or chocolate shades with golden undertones.
For mature beauties: Stick with shades of bronze that are either matte or very subtly shimmery.

Berry stained lips can be vampy or innocent depending on the application and product that you use. On deeper complexions, berry colored lips can look soft and actually enhance the lips natural color. On fair skin, berry lips can add just enough color to save you from looking too washed out. No matter what the skin tone, berry colored lips are on trend and extremely wearable!

For mature beauties: Keep your berry colored lips more rosy than purple. Think more raspberry than elderberry! Use either a neutral or invisible lip pencil and then pop on Maybelline Color Whisper Lipstick in Berry Ready.

Rosy, freshly flushed cheeks are a universal indicator of health and vitality. Think about it...after a good run your cheeks are flushed and dewy. After a good laugh with friends you literally look tickled pink. And no one can resist the adorably pinchable rosy of cheeks of babies. There`s something psychological that drives us to restore the natural rosiness to our skin so that we can look youthful and happy!

Benefit Hervana blushFor fair skin: Stick with shades that are one or two shades brighter than your natural flush. I find that sheer textures work best and look less clownish on fair skin.
For deeper skin tones: Shades of berry, wine and red are very flattering on darker skin.
For mature beauties: Cream formulas and stick blushes are a great way to get a natural flush that won`t settle into fine lines and deep wrinkles. Look for sheer shades that illuminate the skin without glitter.

Navy Mascara

Now before you flip out, let me reiterate: NAVY mascara, not bright blue. I consider navy mascara to be a neutral product that can work well on all colors and ages of women.

The idea behind it is quite simple: Put something bluish next to something white and the white appears clearer and brighter. Blue-based lipsticks make teeth appear whiter and navy mascara will help brighten the whites of the eyes.

Scared that people will judge you for your blue lashes? Choose shades of navy that are so dark that they almost look black. No one will be the wiser, bright eyes!
