DHAKA: This week’s beauty tip is on ‘Emmy Rossum’s Crimped Braided Up-Do’. Take your makeup box and try…

Emmy Rossum’s Crimped Braided Up-Do

Who: Emmy Rossum

The Expert: Celebrity hairstylist Christopher Naselli

The Look: Crimped braided up-do

The Tips

1. Spray a volumizer in your roots, and rough dry your hair with your hands.

2. Taking two-inch sections at a time, spray them with a heat protector, and crimp each section from front to back.

3. Once the whole head is crimped, flip your hair over and spray a texturizer for tons of volume. Flip your hair back and comb through with a wide-tooth comb.

4. Section your hair into two parts, from ear to ear, so you have a front and a back section. Take just the back section and pull it into a loose ponytail, leaving out a section of hair on each side by your ears. Secure with an elastic.

5. Separate the ponytail into two sections. Make a loose braid with one of the sections, and pull it up and around your head to create a headband with the braid, leaving the two loose side sections and entire front section out. Secure the braid with bobby pins.

6. Split the other half of the ponytail into thirds, and twist each into a loose bun. Pin and secure the knots to the back of your head. The key is to keep it loose and messy.

7. Take two loose side sections and randomly pin them up and into the braided headband, leaving some pieces out.

8. Finish by softly pinning the front section to one side with bobby pins. Finish with hairspray, so your hard work stays put.
