How to eat healthy on an evening out

Here are some tips to stay fit and healthy by following a proper diet - Eat a light snack before leaving home so that you don't have a growling stomach hungry to attack food when you order.

At the theatres avoid fried food like samosas, soft drinks and instead stick to plain water or tea coffee. Opt for healthy snacks like plain popcorn, corn chaat, or regular chaat.

While ordering dinner check the menu for food with less oil, or ask them to make your meal with no make your meal with no or less oil in it. Same ways avoid butter, cheese and deep-fried food items.

Keep a check on the portion size. Share your dish with others and if you are tempted to order other food, just take a bite from what the rest of the group is eating. A small bite too is enough to sati ate your craving.

If you are having a drink with dinner, avoid the starters and opt for fresh ly cut carrot or cucumber sticks with a low cal dip.

Have a salad before ordering for the main course.

The salad with a low fat dressing too will help you keep full.

Avoid heavy sweets for dessert after the meal. Go for a low calorie ice cream instead or just take a paan which too will take care of your sweet tooth.
