Dhaka University (DU) authorities have decided that no one will be allowed to wear or carry any kind of masks except the masks on the campus during the Pohela Boishakh celebrations on April 14, the first day of the Bangla New Year.
The decision came from a meeting of DU authorities at university's Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban, with Vice Chancellor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.
No programme will be allowed after 5pm on that day, no individual will be allowed to enter the campus.
Besides, private transports without carrying the stickers of the university will not be allowed inside the campus from 7pm of April 13 considering the security issues.
