Bangladesh has taken all necessary preparations to welcome Qatar’s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani who will arrive tomorrow (April 22) for a two-day official visit to strengthen ties in multiple areas including trade, defence and investment.

The Amir will begin a tour in several friendly Asian countries on Sunday (April 22) upon the invitation of their leaders.

Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani will arrive Dhaka on Monday afternoon by a special flight. 

According to the Foreign Ministry officials, the agreements and MoUs are likely to be signed on enhancing trade and investment, prisoners exchange, avoidance of double taxation, manpower export, cooperation in the field of religion and higher education.

The Amir will commence his tour with a visit to the Republic of the Philippines, followed by the People's Republic of Bangladesh, and will conclude with a visit to Nepal.

During the tour, he will hold talks with the leaders and senior officials of these countries, focusing on ways to enhance cooperation and discussing a number of issues of mutual interest. 

Additionally, agreements and memoranda of understanding will be signed in various fields.

The Amir will be accompanied by an official delegation.
