A Bangladeshi youth was reportedly shot to death by India's Border Security Force (BSF) along Putiya border in Kosba upazila of Brahmanbaria district this morning (April 22).

The deceased was identified as Hasan Mia, 25, son of Jaru Mia, a resident of Kaiyumpur union of the upazila.

According to the deceased family members, Hasan along with his friends went to visit the zero point of Putia border when a BSF team opened fire on them, leaving Hasan dead on the spot.

On the other hand, Kosba Police Station's officer-in-charge Raju Ahmed confirmed the matter.

The body was brought back to Kosba Upazila Health Complex and it will be sent to Brahmanbaria General Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.
