Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday (July 17) urged the students demanding quota reformation to keep patience and wait for the decision of apex court.

She said while addressing the nation at 7:30pm.

The PM also said the top court will soon announce its verdict on the quota system.

"I believe students will get the right judgment, and justice will be made" she said.

The prime minister said the government filed an appeal against the High Court judgement on the quota issue while the Appellate Division set a date for its hearing.

“The court also has created an opportunity to hear the students if they have any statements. There is a scope to resolve the matter through the legal process.”

She announced a judicial enquiry to ensure a fair and just trial into the recent unwanted incidents, including killings.
