The Public Service Commission (PSC) would not hold the 44th BCS viva exam before 5 August, PSC announced after a meeting on Monday.

New date for the exam would be announced later, said PSC Public Relations Officer SM Matiur Rahman.

Total 1,710 would be recruited under different cadres of 44th BCS.

Among these, 250 would be administrative officials, 50 police officers, 10 foreign officials, 14 Ansar officers, 30 would be auditors, 11 would be tax officials, 8 would be multipurpose-related officials, 7 railway officials, 7 commerce officials, 10 information officials, 23 post officials, 6 trade officials, 27 family planning officials, 3 food officials, 485 technical officials and 776 education officials.
