Golam Mortoza appointed press minister at Bangladesh embassy in US

The government has appointed Journalist Golam Mortoza as the Press Minister at the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington, DC, USA. 

A notification was issued in this regard on Tuesday (November 19).

The notification, signed by Abul Hayat Md Rafique, Deputy Secretary of the Contract and Foreign Recruitment Wing of the Ministry of Public Administration, stated that Golam Mortoza will serve for a two-year term on a contractual basis, effective from the date of joining.

As per the terms, he must relinquish ties with any other profession, business, or role in government, semi-government, or private organizations. The conditions of the appointment will be determined by the contract agreement.

The notification mentioned that the appointment was made in the public interest under the President’s order.
