The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted light rain in parts of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from this morning (November 30).
According to the BMD's weather bulletin, light rain is expected at one or two locations in the Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions. The rest of the country will likely experience mainly dry weather with occasional partly cloudy skies.
The Deep Depression in the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved northwestward and intensified into a cyclonic storm named "Fengal" (pronounced FEINJAL). As of 6:00 am today (November 30, 2024), it is located in the same area.
The storm is expected to continue moving northwest and may cross the North Tamil Nadu - Puducherry coast later today. Its associated trough extends up to North Bay.
The BMD also stated that night temperatures may drop slightly, and daytime temperatures may decrease by 1-2°C across the country.
The maximum temperature recorded on Friday was 34.0°C in Sitakunda, while the minimum temperature today was 10.3°C in Tetulia.
In Dhaka, the sunset will occur at 5:10 pm, and tomorrow's sunrise will be at 6:25 am.
