NARAYANGANJ: Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan on Sunday said the next parliament elections would be held as per the constitution.

The ruling lawmaker also said if BNP does not join, the interim government would be formed comprising others political parties.

He came up with the assertion in response to a query of journalists in the district after visiting a under construction ferry of Narayanganj dock.

He said, “To make the dialogue a success, opposition BNP should come forward but it has no interest.”

Shahjahan said, “The government had to spend Tk 40 crore to import a ferry but now we get four ferries with cost of Tk 29.24 crore.”
