DHAKA: State Minister for Law Quamrul Islam Monday said the attitude of opposition showed that they would follow the path of anarchy.

He said, “Their act of violence as well as anarchy would force the government to take hard-line stand.”

The minister issued the warning while talking to journalists after addressing an anti-hartal procession at Awami league central office Bangabandhu Avenue in city.

The lawmaker said that if opposition wanted dialogue they had to stop anarchy as anarchy and dialogue cannot walk together.

Earlier, ruling Awami Leauge Joint General Secretary and Foreign Minister Dipu Moni rebuffed the BNP-led opposition for creating ‘violence in the name of hartal.’

While talking to journalists she also said, “BNP is talking for dialogue on the one hand, and on the other it is waging violence across the country.

Meanwhile, Metropolitan Awami League General Secretary Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Joint General Secretary Hazi Mohammad Selim and others were present.
