Khaleda trying to foil polls, alleges Dipu

DHAKA: Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Tuesday alleged that Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is conspiring to foil the next general elections.

She came up with the allegation while addressing an anti-hartal sit-in programme in front of Awami League central office at Bangabandhu Avenue in the afternoon.

The ruling Awami League lawmaker said, “BNP would not able to assume power by free and fair polls due to their anarchic activities across the country.”

She added: “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina invited opposition leader for dialogue but she took the path of violence in the name of hartal instead of peaceful talks.”

Dipu Moni also urged the countrymen to avoid BNP and 18-partyt alliance as they are distorting history.
