Govt forced to arrest BNP leaders

CHANDPUR: Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni categorically said that the government was forced to detain top BNP leaders.

She came up with the assertion while talking to journalists after inauguration of a bridge in Ashikathi village under Sadar Upazila in the district on Saturday.

Dipu Moni said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s invitation to opposition leader Khaleda Zia for dialogue is still valid. The dialogue may hold in any suitable time of the opposition leader.

The Foreign Minister also said we expect that leaving the path of violence opposition will join in dialogue and next general election will be hold in free and fair manner with the participation of all parties.
