SATKHIRA: Over 1600 BNP-Jamaat-Shibir men were sued on charge of clash with police on Saturday at Patkelghata upazila in the district.

Patkelghata Thana Sub-Inspector Rokanuzzaman filed the case on Saturday night mentioning 71 names and unnamed 1600 BNP-Jamaat-Shibir men.

On the other hand, police arrested five activists of BNP and Shibir in this connection so far.

Patkelghata Thana Officer-in-Charge Mamunur Rashid confirmed the matter to banglanews.

On Saturday, BNP-Jamaat-Shibir men brought out a procession in support of hartal and locked into clash with police and vandalized several vehicles.
