SYLHET: Criticizing opposition party, Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Saturday categorically said the countrymen would hammer them if any hartal (shutdown) is called again.

The finance minister came up with the assertion while talking to reporters after a programme of laying foundation stone at Rosmoy Memorial High School at Jindabazar in the district on Saturday.

He also observed: “The hartal creates ominous impact on economy, regular life. The opposition will be hammered by the people if they announce another spell of hartal.”

The ruling lawmaker also talked on Awmi League led government’s several development initiatives in education sector.
