CHITTAGONG: Nagarik Oikya Convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna sought people’s respond by asking ‘who is bitter autocrat, Ershad or incumbent government?’

Manna, former DUCSU vice-president came up with the assertion while addressing a dialogue about ‘ongoing political dreadlock on national election’ organized by the organization on Saturday.

He said, “Democracy is not such a word toning with the recent hazardous political situation under the government as at least 20 people shoot and burnt death within 120 hours.”  

Terming the recent political activities as politics of bloodshed he said, “If the election failed acceptance by all political parties, the country will plunge into a ditch of eternal clash.”

He also questioned to the government about constitution as the authority is election commission now following the constitution as the government’s tenure had been concluded.
