BOGRA: Opposition BNP-led 18-party called daylong hartal (shutdown) in the district for Wednesday protesting the killing of a Jubo Dal leader in a clash during blockade on Tuesday.

The hartal will be enforced from 6:00am to 6:00pm in the day.

Office Secretary of the district BNP Mahfuzur Rahman Razu confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier in the day, a Jubo Dal leader was killed as police opened fire during a clash with 18-party activists at Banani near Bogra town in the afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Yusuf, Jubo Dal organizing secretary of no-21 ward in Bogra town.
