CHITTAGONG: A police constable sustain splinter injuries as blockaders hurled cocktails at a police van in front of Old Chandgaon Thana in the port city at 9:00am Saturday.

Police chased the blockaders and held two of them and took them to custody.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge Abdur Rauf said that injured constable Anjan Chowdhury was sent to Dampara Hospital.

Besides, blockaders locked into clash with law enforcers at Olongkar, AK Khan and Ispahani crossings in the morning.

Police fired rubber bullets and tear shells to take the situation under control.
