COMILLA: A Juba League leader was killed by miscreants in Patia area under Daudkandi upazila of the district early Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Miraj Khandaker, 39, of Donarchar area of the upazila.

Locals said Miraj came out of home on Friday night after receiving a phone call from his friend Sohel and after that he did not return home.

Later, locals found the body of Miraj lying beside road in Patia area and informed police.

On information, police rushe to the spot and recovered the body.

Daudkandi thana officer-in-charge Abul Foysal told banglanews  police detained Helal, 32, for his alleged connection in the killing.
