DHAKA:  The extended meeting of Awami League executive committee will be held at Ganabhaban on Friday afternoon with party president and premier Sheikh Hasina in the chair for a much-awaited review of organizational and political affairs.

Party MPs and presidents and general secretaries of district committees will attend the meeting.

According to party leaders, the district leaders would get the chance to raise complaints and resentments at the meeting.

“Besides organizational situation, latest political condition, government activities, and also the success and failure of the party are expected to be discussed,” said one party source.

The agenda of the extended meeting include month-long programmes to mark the national mourning day on August 15, August 21 grenade attack and the death anniversary of Nobel-laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore.

General Secretary of AL and local government minister Syed Ashraful Islam asked all concerned to be present at the meeting.
