NARAYANGANJ: Jamaat-Shibir men activists torched four vehicles  and vandalized 22  others in Panchabati area of the district on Friday morning.

Sources said that Sadar upazila Chhatra Shibir brought out a protest procession with sticks and bamboos  in the area at around 11:00am.

Meanwhile, they set fire to a covered van and three trucks which created a traffic jam in the area. At the same time, the Shibir men vandalized 22 more passenger buses.

On information, two fire service unit from Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil difence rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.

Fatullah Model Thana Officer-in-Charge Aktar Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
