DHAKA: Police in a drive detained two Shibir leaders with huge explosives from a mess of Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, in capital’s Kallyanpur area on Sunday morning.

The identity of the detainees could not be known immediately.

Sources said that acting on a tip off, police raided the Shibir mess and picked up two men and recovered huge gunpowder and bomb making equipments.

Mirpur Thana Officer-in-Charge Salauddin Ahamed confirmed the matter to banglanews.
