3 Jamaat orgs torched in Feni

FENI: District unit office of Jamaat-e-Islami, its one business institution and a market owned by its two leaders were torched in Companiganj road area of the district on Sunday.

District Jamaat Ameer AKM Najem Osman claimed that pouring petrol activists of local Chhatra League and Juba League set fire to district Jamaat office that left furniture, two motorbikes and a microbus burnt.

Besides, he also claimed that the ruling party activists set fire to an under construction supermarket owned by Jamaat leaders Tofazzal Hossain and Nasir Uddin Sarkar.

On the other hand, District Juba League Convener Kabir Ratan said that becoming enraged local people torched those. But no Chhatra League or Juba League men were involved in the incident.

Feni Sadar Thana Officer-in-Charge Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the matter the arson incident to banglanews.
