DHAKA: Opposition BNP standing committee member ASM Hannan Shah and Dhaka city BNP Convener Sadek Hossain Khoka were sent to jail after two-day remand in a case of instigating on May 5 Hefajat rally violence.

Metropolitan magistrate Mustafizur Rahman passed the order on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, Detective Brach police produced them before the court after completing two days remand.

On November 25, Detective Brach (DB) Police arrested Hannan Shah from in front of Japan embassy at Baridhara in the city.
