Khaleda joins ‘March for Democracy’

DHAKA: Opposition BNP Vice-Chairman Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed on Saturday said the government would be responsible for any untoward situation during Sunday’s rally.

The senior leader of the party also said the ‘March for Democracy’ would be staged at any cost in city’s Nayapaltan area and people will join spontaneously in the rally.

Hafiz Uddin came up with the assertion in a press conference at the National Press Club in the evening.

He further assured that the party’s Chairperson Khaleda Zia will present in the rally at 10:00am.

People will join at the rally for nation’s democracy impulsively as the programme would be peaceful.

If any anarchy happens by the Awami League men, the government will be responsible for the anarchic situation, he added.
