DHAKA: Opposition BNP Vice-Chairman Major (retd) Hafizuddin Ahmed was detained in front of the National Press Club on Sunday evening.

The members of law enforcement detained the BNP leader picked up around 7:00pm after holding a press conference.

Press Wing Official of BNP Chairperson Shayrul Kabir Khan told the banglanews.

At the press conference, Hafizuddin declared the ongoing anti-government movement by staging sit-in demonstrations on rail, road and waterways until the elections schedule is cancelled.
