RANGPUR: Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad lost in Lalmonirhat-1 constituency while won in Rangpur-3 constituency.

In Lalmonirhat-1 constituency, Awami League candidate Md Motahar Hosssain has won the polls with 179,273 votes, while HM Ershad has bagged 7,827 votes.

On the other hand, in Rangpur-3 constituency, Ershad defeated Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) candidate Md Sabbir Ahmed by 29,867 votes.
