BNP office torched in Joypurhat

JOYPURHAT: Pouring petrol, miscreants set fire to district office of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in station road of the district town early Monday.

Police sources said that the incident took place at around 2:30am and after setting fire miscreants blasted 10/12 cocktails, leaving furniture of the BNP office burnt.

On information, a fire fighting unit from Joypurhat fire service rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

Joypurhat Thana Sub-Inspector Anisur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

District unit BNP president Mozahar Ali Prodhan blamed Awami League cadres for the violence.
