AL wants consensus with BNP

DHAKA: After a day of 10th parliamentary elections, now Awami League wants to make consensus with BNP before completion of new government’s tenure.

Forest and Environment Minister Hasan Mahmud hinted about this quoting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a human chain at in front of Awami League Bangabandhu Avenue office on Monday evening.  

Sommilito Awami League Jote organized the programme protesting 18-party’s hartal enforce from Monday morning.

The minister claimed Sunday’s election was free, fair and impartial as government did not interfere on polls.

He said, “Now Awami League wants to make a consensus with the BNP before ending the tenure of 10th parliamentary government.”
