Govt to go hard line, warns Obaidul

DHAKA: Warning opposition BNP-led 18-party alliance, ruling Awami League presidium member Obaidul Quader on Tuesday said if the opposition parties don’t stop violence, the government would go on hard line.

The communications minister came up with the forewarning in a press conference at Awami League Dhanmondi party office in the afternoon.

The senior leader also said: “We will go ahead as per the direction of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina which she told in a press conference on Monday.”

Obaidul added: “Opposition must have to shun violence. Otherwise, the government will go on hard line to stop atrocities.”

The new government would take challenge to tackle all kinds of anarchy, he added.
