BARISAL: The Vice-President of Barisal City BNP, Advocate Akhtar Hossain Mebul was held by law enforcers Thursday afternoon.

Police sources said that acting on a tip-off, police held him while he along with others was planning to create violence in city’s Kathpatti area around 1:30pm.

Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Model Thana Shakhwat Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
