Blockade postponed after Sunday

DHAKA: BNP-led 18-party alliance postponed their indefinite blockade programme after Sunday.

BNP Assistant Office Secretary Shamimur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews at around 10:30pm Saturday.

Earlier in the day, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in a statement postponed their indefinite blockade for Monday, Tuesday.

He said the blockade will continue from 6:00am Sunday to 6:00am Monday.

He also said: “Due to the holy Eid-e-miladunnabi, blockade will be postponed from 6:00am Monday to 6:00am Wednesday. Till the next announcement, the indefinite blockade will continue again from 6:00am Wednesday across the country.”

From January 1, the opposition alliance was observing indefinite blockade for resisting the 10 th election held on January 5.
