DHAKA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam categorically said that the formation of new government is totally unjustified as voter turnout in January 5 polls was only 5 percent.

Fakhrul said, “Sheikh Hasina’s approach has been exposed by commenting as she does not bother the opinions coming from both the country and abroad.”

Them senior BNP leader alleged that the Awami League wouldn’t ascertain a people’s government by holding partial elections.

He hailed countrymen for boycotting farcical 10th national polls and sought fresh polls under a non-party caretaker government.
